STORY:
It was decided that neither Sly nor the kennel staff could wait even a day more! This has been one of our best litters yet and we are so proud to show them off! And Sly was been so very looking forward to seeing the new pups and picking out her very own! Upon arriving at Stars and Stripes, we immediately set about showing Sly our facilities, The breeding quarters, the Kennels, the Outside Runs, and the training areas! When at last we reached the Whelping area, all that could be heard was the sounds of tiny puppy cries. Nearly vibrating with excitement, we headed inside. Mama lifted her head to regard us, before laying it back down and resuming her slumber as the tiny balls continued to squirm, kneed, and suckle at and around her. Kneeling next to the box, we set about lifting each squirmy little pup and showing them to Sly! Once they were all seen, Sly came to her decision. She settled on the last born, the runt and our very favorite pup! The little green boy, so far, is all spunk and attitude. Despite being the smallest, this little guy seems to be the loudest and most curious of the pups! With her decision made, Sly headed off to wait another six weeks!
When the six weeks came and went, Sly was still eager as ever to come back and meet her little pup! Finally she returned to the kennels to view her little boy, now at seven weeks old. Not much has changed with him, except he's got a fat belly and his personality is beginning to show much more! Still the loudest pup, this little boy was the first to venture forth into the great unknown (or, in other words, the outside of the whelping box!). He is also, however, the first to step in and keep his siblings from venturing too far. Protective and courageous, we suspect that, much like his father, this little boy will make a splendid IPO master or Guardian!
